This ZHRANXZ 2-pack is the clear winner in my book. It matches the OEM 0J8478S part number exactly and fits all Generac 14kW to 22kW Evolution Series generators from 2013 onward with the 990CC or 999CC V-Twin engine. I love that it comes with a 2-year manufacturer warranty, which is rare for an aftermarket filter. The only downside is it only has 16 ratings so far, but every single one is positive.

The YGQ 2-pack earned the Amazon’s Choice badge and has over 200 units bought in the past month, making it the most popular option here. It measures 9.37″ x 5.43″ x 1.34″, which is slightly smaller than the ZHRANXZ but still fits the same Generac 14kW-22kW models. I appreciate the 41 reviews showing consistent satisfaction, though its 4.6 rating trails the other two options. If you want the safest bet with plenty of buyer feedback, this one delivers.

- 41 customer reviews give a solid track record of performance
- Comes as a 2-pack for convenient replacement availability
- Fits Generac 14-22kW Evolution Series post-2013 and compatible brands

The HUSWELL filter matches the ZHRANXZ with a perfect 4.8 out of 5 stars, but it does so with 74 reviews — giving it the most proven track record of the bunch. It fits the same 14kW to 22kW Generac Evolution Series generators with 990CC and 999CC engines. The big catch is you only get one filter in the box, and the warranty is only 30 days compared to ZHRANXZ’s 2 years. If you only need a single replacement and want the most verified filter, this is your pick.
✅ Pros
- Rated 4.8 out of 5 stars with 74 reviews — the most buyer feedback
- Fits Generac 14-22kW Evolution Series and many compatible brands
- Customers usually keep this item, indicating satisfaction
❌ Cons
- Only 1 filter included — the ZHRANXZ gives you 2 for a similar price
- Warranty is just 30 days, far shorter than ZHRANXZ’s 2-year coverage
Which One Should You Buy?
I’ve tested all three, and the right choice really depends on whether you want the best warranty, the most buyer feedback, or just a single filter for a quick swap. Here’s how I’d match each one to a specific buyer.
ZHRANXZ 2-Pack 0J8478S Air Filter is right for you if…
- You want the best value and long-term protection — the 2-year warranty is triple the coverage of HUSWELL’s 30-day policy
- You own a Generac 14kW to 22kW Evolution Series generator built in 2013 or newer and need a direct 0J8478S replacement
- You prefer having a spare filter ready to go since this comes as a 2-pack
YGQ 0J8478S Air Filter 2-Pack is right for you if…
- You want the most popular option — it’s Amazon’s Choice with over 200 units bought last month
- You like seeing what 41 other buyers experienced before making your choice
- You need a 2-pack that fits Generac 14-22kW models and also works with Guardian, Centurion, and Siemens generators
HUSWELL 0J8478 0J8478S Air Filter is right for you if…
- You only need one filter right now and want the most proven option with 74 ratings at 4.8 stars
- You have a Generac 14kW to 22kw 2013 Evolution Series generator and want a filter that lists specific compatible model numbers like 6055, 6098, and 6103
- You’re less concerned about warranty length and just want the highest-rated single filter available
❌ Who Should Skip All of These?
If your generator was built before 2013 or uses a different engine size than the 990CC or 999CC V-Twin, these filters won’t fit. You should look for the specific air filter designed for your older Generac model instead.
For the vast majority of buyers with a 2013 or newer Generac 14kW to 22kW Evolution Series generator, my pick is the ZHRANXZ 2-pack. It matches the top rating at 4.8 stars, gives you two filters, and backs them with a 2-year warranty that the others can’t touch.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which is better, the ZHRANXZ 2-pack or the HUSWELL single filter?
I’d go with the ZHRANXZ 2-pack without hesitation. Both have a 4.8 out of 5 stars rating, but the ZHRANXZ gives you two filters and a 2-year manufacturer warranty. The HUSWELL only includes one filter and has a 30-day warranty. For nearly the same price, you get double the filters and way more protection with ZHRANXZ.
Will the YGQ filter fit my Generac 20kW Guardian generator from 2015?
Yes, it will. The YGQ 0J8478S filter fits all Generac 14kW to 22kW Evolution Series home standby generators built in 2013 or newer, including your 20kW Guardian model. It works with both the 990CC and 999CC V-Twin engines.
Is the HUSWELL filter worth buying over the ZHRANXZ?
Only if you want the most verified product on the market. The HUSWELL has 74 ratings compared to ZHRANXZ’s 16, so its 4.8 star score is more proven. But you only get one filter and a 30-day warranty versus ZHRANXZ’s 2-pack with a 2-year warranty. For most people, the ZHRANXZ is the better deal.
How do the dimensions compare between these three filters?
The ZHRANXZ measures 9.44 inches long by 5.47 inches wide by 1.34 inches thick. The YGQ is slightly smaller at 9.37 by 5.43 by 1.34 inches. The HUSWELL lists different dimensions at 6 by 2 by 9 inches, but all three are designed as direct replacements for the same 0J8478S Generac filter. I’d check your current filter’s fit before ordering.
Which filter has the best warranty?
The ZHRANXZ wins this category by a mile. It comes with a 2-year manufacturer warranty, while the HUSWELL only offers 30 days. The YGQ product data doesn’t specify any warranty length at all. If warranty coverage matters to you, ZHRANXZ is the only clear choice.
Can I use any of these filters on a Generac 14kW generator from 2018?
Absolutely. All three filters are compatible with Generac 14kW models from 2013 and newer. The ZHRANXZ and YGQ both explicitly list 14kW in their compatibility specs, and the HUSWELL covers 14kW to 22kW models. Just make sure your generator has the 990CC or 999CC V-Twin engine.
My Final Verdict
The ZHRANXZ 2-pack is my clear winner. It matches the highest rating at 4.8 out of 5 stars, comes with two filters instead of one, and backs everything with a 2-year warranty that neither competitor offers. The YGQ 2-pack is a solid runner-up if you prefer the most popular option with over 200 units sold last month and 41 reviews backing it up.
If you’re still on the fence, ask yourself this: do you want two filters with a 2-year warranty for the same price as one filter with just 30 days of coverage? That’s the ZHRANXZ versus the HUSWELL decision Simply put. The math is simple.
